Made of .9999 fine Gold, the 1 oz coin’s obverse, designed by Thomas Pesendorfer features the Great Organ of the Musikverein, the Golden Hall in Vienna’s Concert Hall with the inscription reading “Republik Österreich – 1 Unze Gold” which is German for “Republic of Austria, 1 ounce Gold.” Also on the obverse is the year of the coin as well as €100 value.
The coin’s reverse features an array of musical instruments such as the harp, violin, cello, flute, bassoon, and French horn with the inscription reading “Wiener Philharmoniker,” German for “Vienna Philharmonic.”
