The 1 oz Austrian Silver Vienna Philharmonic is a Silver bullion coin produced annually by the Austrian Mint.
The Silver Philharmonic coin is the only Silver coin denominated in euros that is struck annually.
Made of pure Silver, the 1 oz coinโs obverse, designed by Thomas Pesendorfer features the Great Organ of the Musikverein, the Golden Hall in Viennaโs Concert Hall with the inscription reading โRepublik รsterreich โ 1 Unze Feinsilberโ which is German for โRepublic of Austria, 1 ounce pure silver.โ Also on the obverse is the year of the coin as well as 1,50 euro value.
The coinโs reverse features an array of musical instruments such as the harp, violin, cello, flute, bassoon, and French horn with the inscription reading โWiener Philharmonikerโ and โSilber,โ German for โVienna Philharmonicโ and โSilver.โ
